The Traktiq inc. hunting and fishing company was founded in January 2019 by Benoît Chevrette. Passionate about nature since his earliest childhood, Benoît chose to devote 100% of his time to his passion and start his hunting and fishing products and equipment business, and did so after 22 years of military service in the Canadian Armed Forces in the tactical communications field.
Hunting & fishing experience
Although they have different aims, hunting and fishing have many points in common with the military. The products developed by Traktiq are inspired by a combination of military field experience and hunting and fishing experience, bringing a breath of fresh air to the industry.
Vision
Our vision is to set ourselves apart by offering unique and innovative tools that will reduce the effort required in the hunting field and increase the efficiency of the hunting and fishing products you're used to working with.
Our creativity, professionalism and boundless dedication mean that we're constantly working to develop new products and completely innovative hunting and fishing equipment to enhance your enjoyment of your passion.
Right from the design stage, we are committed to respecting nature and wildlife. In this way, future generations will also be able to enjoy hunting and fishing in an eco-responsible way.
TRAKTIQ is in fact an amalgam of 8 words with different meanings. First, there's the word "stalking", well known to all hunters. It also includes the English word trak (tracks). Add an A and you get attrakt (attract), an essential action in fishing and hunting. The word rak (rack) is often used as a synonym for panache.
Next comes the word tactical, which has two important meanings for the company: it refers to the tactics used by hunters and fishermen, and nods to the company founder's military career involving operational deployments within the Canadian armed forces. Finally, the letter Q was chosen to illustrate the quality of TRAKTIQ products, as well as to honor the company's hometown, Quebec City.
